Electricity Connection
We, at the Lions Club of Vaddukoddai with Greenland Foundation, recently had the opportunity to assist a needy family by covering the shortfall in funds required to secure an electricity connection to their home. The family resides in a remote area without streetlights, and the children were struggling to study in the evenings due to insufficient lighting. Although the family had managed to save some money toward the connection, it was not enough to meet the total cost.
Recognizing the importance of education and the need for a safe, well-lit environment, the Lions Club stepped in to bridge the gap, ensuring that the electricity connection was successfully established. With proper lighting now available, the children can study comfortably, improving their learning experience and academic progress.
This initiative is more than just providing electricity—it reflects the Club’s ongoing commitment to improving living conditions, supporting families in need, and empowering the younger generation to achieve their potential. Small acts of support like this create meaningful, long-term benefits, strengthening the community and demonstrating that practical assistance, when combined with care and dedication, can truly make a positive difference in people’s lives.
