Medical Camp at Sithernkerni – Supported by Lions Club of Vaddukoddai

On Saturday morning, a medical camp was held at Sithernkerni, organised by the Local Women’s Association with the support of the Lions Club of Vaddukoddai. The program aimed at providing basic health screenings and medical advice to members of the community.
Participants were first registered, and their health particulars including weight, height, blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and pulse were measured and recorded on a chit. Once their readings were completed, they waited to consult with the attending doctor. During the consultation, the doctor reviewed the results, addressed any health concerns, and prescribed relevant medication where necessary.
Certain essential medicines were provided free of charge, particularly for those diagnosed with diabetes and related conditions. Additionally, some individuals were advised to seek further tests or follow-up treatment at hospital facilities to ensure proper management of their health.
The camp proved to be a practical and meaningful initiative, offering valuable healthcare access to many residents who may not otherwise have easy or affordable medical support.
