Coconut Plant Donations at GS Office Chulipuram J/176
At 10.45 a.m., the Lions Club of Vaddukoddai carried out another step in its community service efforts at the GS Office, (J/176). On this occasion, each recipient was presented with two coconut plants. The individuals were nominated by GS Raj Khanna, who ensured that the beneficiaries were both deserving and willing to cultivate the plants with care.
The project was made possible through the sponsorship of the Greenland Foundation, whose support continues to strengthen local environmental and livelihood initiatives. Representing the Lions Club were 1st Vice District Governor Lion Uthayasurian, Club Secretary Lion Nanthan, Lion Ravisangar, and Lion Lady Anita, all of whom joined to personally hand over the donations.
By encouraging the planting of coconut trees, the initiative looks beyond the present moment, aiming to provide families with long-term benefits. These trees not only contribute to the environment but also offer future economic value for those who nurture them.
