We had a productive meeting with Lion Uthayasurian Anna at his home at 7 p.m. to discuss several important points and clarify ideas on how to grow the Lions Club of Vaddukoddai.
Topics covered included strategies for recruiting new members as well as engaging foreign members, with plans to discuss these further and provide updates at the upcoming monthly meeting.
Regarding Anita’s membership, it was agreed that it would be best completed after the orientation scheduled for 30th August 2025. Ravi’s PMAF contribution of 10,000 is planned to be made after the Inauguration of the Cabinet.
We explored what steps are needed to achieve the Club Status of Excellence and talked about potential projects. Ravi expressed his willingness to host a medical camp either at our place or at Bharathy, and such projects will be further discussed during the monthly meeting.
Additional points included improvements in communication; Ravi’s email and visiting card designs were reviewed and accepted. It was confirmed by Anna that it is acceptable to have visiting cards with “Lion Ravisangar” and the Lion logo.
Marketing materials for a pickup vehicle, using the framework Ravi already had, were also discussed and will be further reviewed and approved at the monthly meeting.
The recycling project coordinated by Ravi was also mentioned and will be discussed, reviewed, and, if approved, progressed at the monthly meeting. The date for this meeting has yet to be finalised.
Ravi himself informed Uthayasurian Anna that he had spoken to the HNB Manager earlier that morning, who expressed willingness to be sponsored by him to become a Lion. This news was received positively by Uthayasurian Anna.
The meeting was constructive and provided a clear path forward for strengthening the club’s impact and membership.
